Our Core Values

As a church, we have agreed that ten core values are at the heart of our life and work together. In setting forth our core values, we declare our ties with true Christians of all times and every place. We confess with them the faith as embodied in the Apostle’s Creed and the Nicene Creed. We recognize that these values are rooted in our history and doctrine. In broad strokes they convey the essential beliefs of our denomination as stated in our Articles of Faith and Doctrine.   • We value the free gift of salvation in Christ Jesus and the transforming power of the Holy Spirit.

  • We value the Bible as God’s authoritative Word, study it together, and build our lives on its truth.

  • We value heartfelt worship that is God-honoring, Spirit-directed, and life-changing.

  • We value whole hearted obedience to Christ Jesus through the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit.

  • We value integrity in relationships and mutual accountability in an atmosphere of grace, love, and acceptance.

  • We value an active and loving witness for Christ to all people.

  • We value serving others at their point of need, following the example of our Lord Jesus.

  • We value all human life and promote forgiveness, understanding, reconciliation, and non-violent resolution of conflict.

  • We value uncluttered lives, which free us to love boldly, give generously, and serve joyfully.

  • We confess our dependence on God for everything, and seek to deepen our intimacy with Him by living prayerfully.

Is to be a family friendly church where all generations are part of the disciple making mission to reach families for Christ and again those who need a family.

OUR VISION

Is to strengthen and disciple families, marriages, and individuals who need a family through the transforming power of Jesus Christ. Matthew 28:16-20

OUR MISSION

Welland BIC will encourage a daily walk with Jesus Christ in order to achieve its vision. Welland BIC will use “Faith at Home” practices and principles to continue to be “Christ Centered and Family Focused”. Deuteronomy 6:5-9

OUR CALL

  1. Follow Jesus unashamedly.

  2. Grow in Christ likeness.

  3. Serve others joyfully and develop the creativity and potential in each individual.

  4. Go with a full gospel to all people in the community and across the globe.

  5. Offer biblical and inspiring worship, discipleship, evangelism and care ministries.

STRATEGIC PRIORITIES

  1. Help strengthen families, marriages, and singles.

  2. Select, develop and equip leaders for ministry.

  3. Foster a growing environment of small groups.

  4. Send workers for witness and service to the community and the world.

  5. Keep a healthy balance between caring for the physical property of the church and the spiritual body of believers.

  6. Develop healthy, functional ministry teams and lines of communication.

ASSESSMENT

Provide regular evaluation of our priorities, ministries, programs and future plans.

Renew annually our commitment to pursue the implementation and completion of our yearly goals.
